What can I expect during an acupuncture session?

Initial Consultation: Before the acupuncture session begins, Taylor will have an initial consultation with you. She will discuss your medical history, concerns, and goals for the treatment. She will also check tongue and pulse. This consultation helps in creating a personalized treatment plan that addresses your specific needs.
Privacy and Comfort: Your privacy is of utmost importance to us. You will be provided with a comfortable treatment table and given ample privacy to disrobe if necessary and prepare for the session.

Needle Insertion: Once you are ready, the acupuncturist will begin the treatment. She will use fine, sterile needles that are gently inserted into specific acupuncture points on your body. You may feel a slight tingling sensation, warmth, or dull ache upon insertion, but most people find the process painless and deeply relaxing.
Meditative and Relaxing Environment: During your acupuncture session, you will be encouraged to relax, unwind, and allow your body to embrace the healing energies. Soft music, dim lighting, and a peaceful atmosphere contribute to creating a meditative ambiance, allowing you to find tranquility during the treatment.
Duration of Session: Acupuncture sessions typically last between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your individualized treatment plan. The number of sessions required will vary based on your condition and desired outcomes, which will be discussed during the initial consultation.
